Genital Herpes Virus Infection

It is an incurable and recurrent viral infection. Painful swelling in the genital area begins as water-filled vesicles. Then there is an inflammatory discharge, it turns into a wound. It crusts over time, swollen lymph nodes in the groin become palpable. It is accompanied by fever, headache, weakness and muscle aches. Its feature is frequent repetition. Systemic antivirals are used in the treatment. Patients and their relatives should be informed about the characteristics of the disease, the ways of sexual transmission, and its prevention. 

 

Syphilis

It is the deepest and darkest subject among all infectious diseases. This mixed disease is caused by a spirochete named T. pallidum and has sickened many celebrities in history. Syphilis is a systemic disease. First, it is characterized by ulcers and sores at the site of infection. Then rash, skin lesions and palpable lymph nodes are observed. Genital Warts

It is caused by the human papillomavirus. Visible external warts may be painful, easily ruptured, and itchy. Some types, although rare, may be associated with cancer. Diagnosis is made by eye. They generally do not cause any complaints and can heal spontaneously. Local creams are used in the treatment. Surgical methods such as scissors, curettage, electrosurgery, laser, cryo are applied. They can relapse. Sexual partners should also be examined.

HIV Infection ‘AIDS’

HIV infection has a very wide clinical spectrum, up to AIDS without any complaints. The time from infection to AIDS is usually 10 years. Early diagnosis allows the patient to be informed and thus contamination can be reduced. HIV diagnostic tests should be performed on every person at risk, especially those who want to be evaluated for sexually transmitted diseases. It is recommended to refer the test positive person to a clinic where comprehensive care can be performed. Sexual partners should also be evaluated and their treatment planned.
